No. CTSRx is not a Certification but an advanced Certificate Course in Specialty Pharmacy. It will educate pharmacy technicians about several aspects of Specialty pharmacy operations as described in the Course Contents in Candidate Handbook.
No. At this moment, ProspeRx is not accredited by ACPE. So, no CE credits will be offered till we obtain accreditation.
Any Pharmacist or Pharmacy technician can take this course, but it’s primarily catered towards the pharmacy staff working in retail. The lessons in the course can be a great learning for people working in any sector such as Specialty, Hospital, PBMs, etc.
All our courses are self-paced and can be taken anytime, anywhere at your convenience. The courses are good for 3 months from the day you sign up for them.
Two places on the Main Menu: 1) Under the Courses and 2) Candidate Handbook. You will find everything you need to know such as learning objectives, course contents, fees, target audience, etc.
There is a one-time fee of $99 for an initial certificate. The initial certificate has a validity of 2 years. So, every 2 years, you will need to renew your certificate and the fee for renewal will be $75. Please read the Candidate Handbook for all the details about CTSRx Certificate Course, fees, renewal, learning objectives, curriculum of course, structure of exam, etc.
It’s highly recommended that you take our courses on a PC or a laptop to get the best experience and user-friendliness. CTSRx is an extensive course with several features that have been enabled from JAVA and other coding synched together to provide you with the best environment while taking the course. Your PC or any laptop with the most popular operating systems (Google Chrome, Windows, etc.) should be able to provide you with all these features with ease and the best user-friendliness.
Currently, ProspeRx is approved as a CE provider by Florida Board of Pharmacy ONLY. So, if you are a Florida pharmacy practitioner, then you will get CE credits from our courses.
Currently, there are two courses offered. "Specialty and Patient care in Retail Pharmacy" can be taken by both pharmacists as well as pharmacy technicians. The other course CTSRx is a Certificate course for Pharmacy technicians only. Pharmacy Technicians can take both courses. In future, there will be more courses for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians.
You must be a licensed (registered) Pharmacist or licensed (registered) Pharmacy Technician from your state of practice. You must have a valid NABP eProfile ID. Even though, ProspeRx is not ACPE accredited yet, but may seek that in future. So, registering with accurate details will ensure accurate reporting of CE credits to CE broker, once ProspeRx becomes ACPE accredited.
